Veneers are thin layers of porcelain which are bonded to the front of your existing teeth to improve their appearance, similar to an artificial fingernail fitting over a nail.

They are able to disguise a range of dental imperfections, such as gaps, stains and unevenness.

Our dentists will take care to ensure the colour and shape of your veneers matches your other teeth to ensure that the end result is an even, natural looking smile.

Veneers are generally constructed over two visits. During your first visit, some of the outer enamel surface of the tooth might need to be removed to help ensure that the final result/veneered tooth will remain the same thickness as the original tooth and not stand out.

Our dentist will then take a mould, otherwise known as an impression, of your teeth. This is then sent over to a dental laboratory for the veneer to be custom made by a qualified dental technician to the correct specifications and shade of your individual tooth.

On your second visit, to the practice, the veneer will then be bonded to the tooth using a special adhesive. You may need to return to the practice a week after the fitting, so that your dentist can check and polish the veneers to ensure the look as good as possible.

Veneers are extremely versatile, and can completely transform your smile, making your teeth look healthy, strong and attractive.
