What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe toothache, a knocked-out or badly broken tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial swelling are all reasons to contact us urgently. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll advise you.

Will I be seen the same day?

We aim to see emergency patients as quickly as possible, often the same day, depending on availability.

What if it happens outside your opening hours?

Please contact us for further information. If we're unavailable, Colman Street Health Centre in Derby (01332 861190) and Cross Street Dental Access Centre in Burton Upon Trent (01283 505810) provide an NHS emergency dental service.

Does emergency dental treatment hurt?

We'll always aim to relieve your pain as a priority, using local anaesthetic where needed to keep you comfortable during treatment.

Is emergency dental treatment available on the NHS?

Our practice offers emergency care privately. The NHS also provides an out-of-hours emergency dental service through the centres listed above.

Do you treat patients outside Derby?
