Teeth Straightening

Invisalign Derby

Your journey to straighter teeth starts with Invisalign

Want Straighter Teeth Without Metal Braces? Invisalign Can Help

For years, fixed metal braces were the only real way to straighten crooked or crowded teeth. Today, Invisalign offers a virtually invisible alternative that fits comfortably around everyday life.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, clear removable Aligners to gently guide your teeth into their ideal position, without brackets or wires. Each aligner is worn for around two weeks before moving on to the next in your personalised sequence.

We welcome Invisalign patients from Derby, Hilton, and the surrounding towns and villages of South Derbyshire, including Willington, Etwall, Hatton, Egginton, Tutbury and Burton upon Trent, all within easy reach of our practice on Welland Road.

FAQs

Does Invisalign hurt?

Invisalign is generally more comfortable than metal braces. You may feel mild pressure for a day or two after switching to a new aligner, which is a sign it's working. This settles quickly and rarely requires more than ordinary painkillers.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most cases Straightening the front teeth take between 3 and 12 months, while more complex cases can take longer. Every smile is different, so we'll give you a more precise timeline once we've assessed your teeth at your consultation.

Is Invisalign available on the NHS?

Invisalign is a private treatment and isn't routinely available on the NHS, which generally reserves funded orthodontic treatment for children and teenagers with a clear clinical need. Book a consultation with us to talk through your options.

Will I need to wear a retainer afterwards?

Yes. Once your treatment is complete, you'll be given custom-made retainers to help hold your teeth in their new position. Wearing these as recommended protects the results you've worked to achieve.

Can I still eat normally with Invisalign?

Yes. Because the Aligners are removable, you simply take them out at mealtimes and clean your teeth before putting them back in, so there's no need to change your diet the way you might with fixed braces.
